Limited Edition
Limited Edition.
These two words together create a sense of urgency and desire to obtain in today's marketing world!
The fact that something is only going to be around for a short period of time leaves the buyer with a sense of GOTTA HAVE IT.
One of the first things that comes to mind is pink starbursts! Lol! I bought several bags of them at Target last year when this became a thing. I've still seen them around, so not sure how limited edition they are anymore.
Another thing that comes to mind is the Disney vault! You've gotta get that Disney movie while it's out on DVD before it goes back in the vault!
If you type "limited edition" into the ebay search bear, the things that pop-up in the suggestions include limited edition club, limited edition watch, limited edition disney doll, limited edition disney pins, limited edition shopkins, limited edition juul, limited edition silver proof set, and limited edition zippo.
I don't even know what all of that stuff is, but I digress...
I only bring this up because one day I thought "Hey! I AM LIMITED EDITION!"
We should be living our lives as if we are here today and gone tomorrow, because that's what the Bible tells us!
James 4:13-17 "Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin."
Psalm 144:4 "Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow."
Psalm 90:12 "So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom."
Ephesians 5:15-17 "Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is."
Not only are we fearfully and wonderfully made which makes us pretty special in and of itself, but we are only passing through this world. YOU AND I ARE LIMITED EDITION. So how can we live that way?!
Let's make the best use of our time and live each day to the fullest!
Let's love others like our lives depend on it!
Let's be mindful and intentional to use the gifts God gave us!
Let's share THE GOOD NEWS with anyone and everyone!
Let's set aside selfish desires and run toward ALL THE THINGS that bring GOD ALL THE GLORY!
